Some designs you recognise at a single glance. The CH07 Shell Chair is a fine example of that. With its floating shape, bent veneer wood and distinctive silhouette, this armchair is among the absolute icons of Danish design. A design that not only helps shape the space, but also proves that sculptural elegance and exceptional seating comfort can go perfectly together.

The Carl Hansen & Søn CH23 chair is a design by Hans J. Wegner. The 1950 design was one of the first results of the collaboration sealed in 1949 between the Danish designer and the Carl Hansen & Søn brand. Wegner's characteristic style and sense of craftsmanship and detail are clearly visible in this early design. You can see it in the clean finish of the backrest with its cross-shaped, neatly finished caps, the soft shaping of the wood, and the use of paper cord in the seat. A distinctive feature of the CH23 chair is that the paper cord continues a little way down the side of the chair — a beautiful detail!

The CH25 lounge chair has been hugely popular since 1950. Like many of Wegner's other iconic designs, this design classic has a clean, simple, distinctive shape. Wegner also made a groundbreaking choice by making the backrest and seat from woven paper cord, a durable material developed during the Second World War. It takes 10 hours of handwork and around 400 metres of paper cord to create the seat and backrest of the CH25 lounge chair, with their unique weave pattern.

The Carl Hansen & Søn RF1903 Sideways Sofa is a design by Rikke Frost. With its distinctive design, the Sideways Sofa stands out from the rest of Carl Hansen & Søn's collection. Inspired by the concept of 'social furniture', the Sideways Sofa's modern shape encourages users to engage in conversation with one another. Normally this happens by placing seats directly opposite each other, but the Sideways Sofa's seats are placed at an angle. That angle makes connecting with each other feel natural.
