The Carl Hansen & Søn RF1903 Sideways Sofa is a design by Rikke Frost. With its distinctive design, the Sideways Sofa stands out from the rest of Carl Hansen & Søn's collection. Inspired by the concept of 'social furniture', the Sideways Sofa's modern shape encourages users to engage in conversation with one another. Normally this happens by placing seats directly opposite each other, but the Sideways Sofa's seats are placed at an angle. That angle makes connecting with each other feel natural.

"The purist shape of a boomerang, with its bold yet elegant lines, was the inspiration behind my initial concept for the DS-60." Designer Gordon Guillaumier transformed this first idea into a fully-fledged modern sofa. The slender, airy shape means it fits harmoniously into both modern and elegantly classic settings. Exquisite handmade details, such as the visible decorative stitching on the leather-upholstered armrests, reinforce the design's elegance. The stainless steel frame fully reflects De Sede's high quality standard. The folds of the leather soften the model's rather clean lines, giving the sofa a light, informal look.

Some furniture follows the space; the DS-600 defines it. This iconic modular sofa system consists of individual elements that can be linked together endlessly, creating a unique, almost snake-like shape. More than fifty years after its introduction, the DS-600 remains one of the most recognisable designs in design history: playful, sculptural and surprisingly comfortable.

The design draws inspiration from the vibrant city of London and brings an understated luxury to any living space. The seat and backrest are ergonomically shaped for optimal support. The casually inward-curved armrests are reminiscent of a warm embrace and give a sense of security.

Buenavista is a fully modular sofa programme that offers maximum freedom in shape, comfort and layout. The collection consists of a range of cubic elements that can be assembled into both compact sofas and generous corner and lounge compositions. Thanks to the different armrests, back heights, loose cushions and additional elements, you decide not only the layout but also the desired comfort level. The subtle angled legs and fine plinth give Buenavista a surprisingly light look despite its generous volumes.

Lima stands out for its refined detailing and airy look. The arm cushions seem to flow naturally from the armrests, a detail further highlighted by the continuous piping. The generous seat and back cushions provide exceptional comfort, while the slender steel legs give the sofa an almost floating character. The legs can be lacquered in a colour of your choice, allowing Lima to be personalised effortlessly.

Bold starts from a simple idea: a sofa should adapt to the way you live, not the other way around. Thanks to its modular nature, you can effortlessly put together a layout that fits the space perfectly, from a compact corner sofa to a generous lounge island. The organic shapes, deep seat and softly rounded back provide an inviting comfort that's just as suited to a quiet reading moment as to long evenings with friends.

Vuelta is a sculptural sofa that brings together softness, playfulness and enclosure. The backrest curves fluidly around the corner, becomes an armrest, and returns to the seat, a movement that almost embraces the user. The distinctive seam patterns subtly reference Josef Hoffmann and give the design a graphic precision. The rounded volumes, tactile upholstery and serene proportions create an inviting comfort that comes into its own in both residential interiors and high-end hospitality. Vuelta feels expressive yet timeless, a statement sofa with a soft, Mediterranean energy.

Longueville Landscape is an airy, elegantly styled sofa with soft, wave-like lines and subtle details such as the finely crafted corner legs. The balanced seat depth and back height provide a deep, cosy seating comfort, optionally complemented with loose back cushions. A sofa that looks compact but feels generous — a quiet balance between comfort, flexibility and sculptural finesse.
