An armchair claims its spot before the rest of the room is even furnished: by the window for the morning light, next to the reading lamp, slightly apart from the rest of the group. A single seat, yet often the most personal piece of furniture in the home.

Italian design label from Milan, founded in 1992 by Bruno Fattorini. Makes minimalist chairs, tables and cabinets in collaboration with more than twenty designers. The Flow chair by Jean Marie Massaud and the Tense table are the best-known models.

Swiss brand founded by brothers Johannes and Lukas Weibel, sons of the founder of Intertime. Makes sofas and armchairs in fabric or leather, in its own workshop in Endingen, with the same Swiss precision and seating comfort as sister label Intertime.
German brand from Herrenberg near Stuttgart, working with leather since 1865. Makes sofas, armchairs, chairs and tables, in collaboration with designers such as Norman Foster and Kengo Kuma. Every piece is handmade by seamstresses and upholstery specialists in its own workshop.
Flemish brand founded in 1966 in Izegem. Makes made-to-order leather seating and armchairs, in collaboration with external designers such as Anita Schmidt and Willy Verstraete. Every piece is produced individually with leather from the best European tanneries.
Belgian family business from Dilsen-Stokkem, in the same family for more than forty years. Makes modular seating and reclining sofas with patented, silent mechanisms. Models such as Float and Sintese are produced entirely in Belgium and configured to measure.
Austrian family business from Etsdorf, founded in 1896, today led by the fifth generation. Makes sofas, armchairs and beds, handmade in its own workshop. Wittmann is the only firm authorised to produce furniture based on Josef Hoffmann's original designs.
Belgian brand founded in 1963 in Wervik. Makes made-to-measure leather seating, armchairs and recliners, handmade in Belgium. Built on decades of ergonomic research, seat depth, seat height and back support are extensively tested on every model until the comfort is right.
